Jakarta, May 27, 2024 – STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic hosted a book review event to discuss the work of Prof. Dr. Eko Prasojo, Mag.rer.publ, titled “Contemporary Issues of Policy and Governance in Indonesia.” The event, held in the Multipurpose Room of STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic, ran from 08:30 to 12:00 WIB and was attended by academics, practitioners, and students.

The book discussion was led by two speakers, Dr. Tr. Ahmad Muam, AK., M.M., CA, Civil Servant Trainer from BPKPSDM Tangerang Selatan, and Dr. Hidayaturahmi, S.Sos., MPA, Lecturer at STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic. The moderator for the event was Faza Dhora Nailufar, S.IP., M.IP, who is also a Lecturer at STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic.

The event began with an opening address by the Director of STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic, Prof. Dr. Nurliah Nurdin, MA. In her remarks, Prof. Nurliah expressed her appreciation for Prof. Eko Prasojo’s work, which she considered highly relevant to the current state of policy and governance in Indonesia. “This book provides new and in-depth insights into various contemporary issues facing our nation, particularly in the field of public policy and governance,” she said.

During the book review session, Dr. Tr. Ahmad Muam and Dr. Hidayaturahmi each provided in-depth perspectives and analyses of the book’s content. Dr. Ahmad Muam discussed the challenges and opportunities in implementing public policy in the digital age, while Dr. Hidayaturahmi highlighted the governance aspects of the policymaking process.

The participants also had the opportunity to interact directly with the speakers in a question-and-answer session. Various critical and constructive questions were raised, adding to the warmth and dynamism of the discussion.

As a closing ceremony, the organizing committee held a doorprize session, giving away books by Prof. Dr. Eko Prasojo, which was met with enthusiasm from the participants. This book review event not only enriched the participants’ knowledge but also strengthened the academic and professional network within STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic.

It is hoped that with the holding of this event, the discussion on policy and governance in Indonesia will continue to develop and can inspire students and practitioners to contribute more in this field.
