Incheon, Seoul Korea – A delegation from STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic consisting of Nurliah Nurdin (Head of the Indonesian delegation), Budi Fernando Tumanggor, Keisha Dinya Solihati, Muhammad Rizki, Nila Kurnia Wati, Rindri Andewi Gati and Rima Ranintya Yusuf has completed a series of training for the International Training Program on Smart Governance and Policy Capacity Building which lasted for 10 days in Incheon, Seoul Korea. The training involved representatives from Indonesia, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan from various agencies and ministries, with the aim of increasing policy capacity and implementing smart governance.
Wednesday, July 3, 2024 STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic wins first place in International Competition on Innovation and Smart Governance
On the last day of this training, the STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic team achieved a brilliant achievement by becoming the First Champion in the International Competition: Smart Governance Innovation Cases and Strategies. The competition featured various smart governance innovations and strategies from trainees from three countries. The STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic team represented by Budi Fernando Tumanggor and Keisha Dinya Solihati presented material representing the Indonesian team entitled “Showcasing Excellence: Internationally Recognized Smart Governance In Indonesia Cases”.
The competition was conducted among all training participants from three countries, namely Indonesia, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Indonesian participants were delegates from various institutions, including the Polytechnic STIA LAN Jakarta team, BSKDN Ministry of Home Affairs, BPSDM Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Riau Islamic University, and Muhammadiyah University Jakarta. At the competition, the Indonesian delegation was represented by the STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic team, the BSKDN Ministry of Home Affairs team and the Ministry of Finance.
In addition to the competition, the last day of the training was also filled with various valuable materials delivered by experts. Dr. Young Hoon Ahn, as President of Think Institute and Chief Director of the Public Policy Future Institute, Hansei University, delivered a presentation on Smart City Cases in Korea. In his presentation, Dr. Ahn explained how the smart city concept can be a solution to solve urban problems and improve quality of life through the integration of innovative technologies.
Dr. Soyoung Kwon, Ph.D., also gave a presentation on New Security Dynamic and South Korea. He described the challenges facing South Korea, including the issue of inter-Korean division and how the country balances security and economic interests. South Korea, with its position as a pivotal middle power, has a unique role in global security dynamics.
The third presentation was presented by Jenn Seoyoung Kim, Ph.D., who discussed Design Thinking & Creative Confidence. In her session, Dr. Kim explained how the design thinking approach can be used to formulate solutions to public problems through systematic and creative stages.
The closing of this training not only marks the end of a series of activities full of international learning and collaboration, but also opens up new opportunities for the implementation of smart governance in various countries. The achievements made by STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic are clear evidence that Indonesia is able to compete and be recognized internationally.
